Vestibular System Volume III Clinical Vestibular Syndromes Diagnosis and Management

Volume III completes the vestibular progression by moving from a localizing syndrome to a defensible disease model and management plan. It applies timing, triggers, examination, hearing findings, testing, and imaging to BPPV, acute unilateral vestibulopathy, stroke alternatives, Ménière disease, vestibular migraine, chronic vestibular disorders, third-window syndromes, vestibular schwannoma, and ototoxic injury. Each disorder is framed by mechanism, expected and disconfirming findings, treatment priorities, and a boards-relevant distinction. Integrated cases reinforce the need to earn the disease label: a positional complaint is not automatically BPPV, and continuous vertigo is not automatically peripheral. After Volume I explains the system and Volume II localizes dysfunction, this volume helps residents select disease-specific care, rehabilitation, escalation, and follow-up without bypassing the diagnostic reasoning.
